REALLYNICE

the concept of rebirth has been integral to my existence since, well, birth. or maybe even that was a rebirth. I am very open to the idea of reincarnation, I feel like I’m on life 150ish, some people seem to be on their first ever run, others somewhere in the middle. Karma makes case for why some people have one kind of life and others another with little to no regard for their character (or so it seems). That being said I do also believe that goodness, humanity, and love will prevail. Also, reincarnation helps with thoughts of death (of which I have many and often) and also opens the doors to understanding of how maybe we are all pieces of a larger, eternal singular thing.

ANYWAY, rebirth. I am someone that traditionally gets really into something, milks it for all that it’s worth creatively and then moves on while it remains backlogged as a referential accessory. Because of this approach, I have gravitated towards viewing life in “eras” or “phases” because I feel like it is honest. It is bizarre to me to see someone after many years and they are exactly the same. It just can’t be. There has to be some level of suppression to you if you are not ever-evolving. Or, on second thought, suppressing if you are not EXPRESSING it.

that being said, internally (and externally) I have been suggested to seek a new outlet : which is exactly why I started this years ago and why I am excited to relaunch it for the 5000th time.

It is November 2024, there is yet another milestone election in two days, I am working on a new record, I just moved into a new house in a new/old location and I want to take stock of what I am into in this moment:

• Watching Bliss Foster videos (thanks John for the suggestion) – He’s a fashion critic. It doesn’t matter if you are into fashion (I have never really been) but the talks are passionate, interesting and connected to art in general. I hope to one day be as into something as him.
• Making black leather choker necklaces – e-mail me the circumference of your NECK and I will make you one for like $10?
• CROSSWORD PUZZLES – go to your nearest dollar store and get you a whole book of them. I feel I’m on track now to become less stupid than I was prior.
• Sports talk radio – yes this and #2 can exist. Philadelphia is a synonymous with its sports teams and I understand. I like how sports have nothing to do with what I do, I like how it can bring together people with nothing else in common, it’s something mindless, exciting and fascinating to be apart of. GO EAGLES. GO SIXERS. GO PHILS. go flyers?
• The 2024 U.S. Presidential Election – if I haven’t made this abundantly clear in my songs or anything I’ve said or stood for – I am not a fan of divisive, insane, acidic, hateful old white dinosaurs that want to make life miserable for women or anyone that doesn’t look like them. Vote Kamala Harris. VOTE. 235 years of dudes running the U.S. time for a change. (+1 million other reasons)
• In the Studio – Mellotron, Sub Bass, Reverb bass, Nylon strings, Bossa Nova, Mazzy Star, Actually singing,.
